Chakras and Healing

CHAKRAS

CHAKRAS and Color Healing

Chakra is a Sanskrit word, and it means "wheel," or "vortex," because that's what it looks like when we look at it. Each chakra is like a solid ball of energy interpenetrating the physical body, in the same way that a magnetic field can interpenetrate the physical body.

The chakras are not physical. They are aspects of consciousness in the same way that the auras are aspects of consciousness The chakras are more dense than the auras, but not as dense as the physical body, but they interact with the physical body through two major vehicles, the endocrine system and the nervous system. Each of the seven chakras is associated with one of the seven endocrine glands, and also with a particular group of nerves called a plexus. Thus, each chakra can be associated with particular parts of the body and particular functions within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine gland associated with that chakra.

Each of the seven chakras is associated with one of the seven endocrine glands, and also with a particular group of nerves called a plexus. Thus, each chakra can be associated with particular parts of the body and particular functions within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine gland associated with that chakra.

Your consciousness, your experience of being, represents everything it is possible for you to experience. All of your senses, all of your perceptions are associated with a particular chakra. Thus, the chakras represent not only particular parts of your physical body, but also particular parts of your consciousness. When you feel tension in your consciousness, you feel it in the chakra associated with the part of your consciousness experiencing the stress, and in the parts of the physical body associated with that chakra.

There are seven main chakras in a line from the base of the spine to the crown of the head and two more newly recognized chakras just above the head which are important. There are aspects of the chakras, variations in color, that are also significant, and relevant to the 4th and 5th dimensions. Each one is associated with different areas of physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. When the energy flow in one chakra becomes blocked it can result in symptoms of illness and vice versa. By keeping the chakras open and the energy flowing, we can maximize our body’s ability to keep well and heal itself.

One way of stimulating energy flow is by a simple visualization. Each chakra has a color of the spectrum linked to it. Focus on that color and imagine that color light pouring into the chakra and saturating it in pure colored light, then visualize the color spinning around the chakra, cleansing it, like scrubbing bubbles.. Take 2 or 3 deep breaths as you do so. You can also repeat a mantra or affirmation to intensify the positive energy you are creating. Work through each chakra in turn from Root to Crown and above to the Golden Lotus Flower. This will rebalance your whole energy level. The Golden Lotus has been a sacred element since the beginning of time. Flowers have a very high vibration, and are often used in history for very spiritual and esoteric purposes.

Flowers also raise the vibrational energy around them, which is why they have long been associated with celebrations, brought as presents to new mothers, sick people, loved ones. They are staples at weddings and funerals. We are rarely aware of the spiritual connection these days, we just know that flowers cheer people up and make them feel glad. So flower photos, paintings and prints as visualization aids make sense and are beautiful to have around. Flowers are calming, have healing energies and can alter ones mood instantaneously.

Chakras are a complex subject, with infinite, individual interpretations, but here is a basic, brief summary of the chakras and their associated areas and colors:

1. Base/Root Chakra - Red , Situated at the base of the spine.
Emotional grounding and ones roots. The excretory and reproductive systems and the immune system.

8.Soul Star Chakra – White/crystal, Directly above the crown, about 10” from top of the head.
Gives perspective on life and ability to see seemingly random positive or negative events as part of the soul’s journey.
Mantra "I transcend"

9.The Golden Lotus- Plexis Solaris, Bright Golden in color
Gold is the colour of wisdom, it means trust and power. When the golden chakra of the fourth dimension opens, we will experience intense feelings of relaxation, wisdom and calmness, no matter in which situation your surroundings are at the moment.
The 11th chakra is a galactic chakra, if this chakra descends and opens you could also feel the need to share, to meditate in a group, to connect together with the universe.
Spiritually aligning and in direct alignment with the cosmic forces

Color helps to create balance in our life – in our body, mind, emotions and our spirit (the one we often ignore). Where many of us often shy away from the spiritual side of ourselves, we automatically throw ourselves out of balance and in doing so we set ourselves up to invite in disharmony, ill-health and dis-ease.

The cells in every organ and body part vibrate at certain frequencies as do all the colors. Every person has a normal frequency of operation, when we move away from this frequency through for example, negative life experiences, emotional pain and suffering or stress, we become prone to blocked energy which creates disharmony, pain and eventually illness and dis-ease.

Color Healing in Nature

Using Color as a Healing Tool

The goal of Color Healing is to help the patient find inner harmony, to bring healing and harmony in body and mind. To eliminate stress, negative thoughts and feelings, go to the core of emotional pain and suffering and to turn blocked energy into positive vibrations.

Many recent scientific studies have proved there are definitive effects of visible colored rays on us, and that color therapy works, but as yet they are still unable to say why. My belief is it relates to our bodies Chakra system and the vibrations of colors relate to each organ and cell in our bodies. During consultations sub-conscious thoughts and feelings are brought to the surface, old barriers are broken down and blockages are released, which enables energy to flow freely again. During a color therapy consultation you will be invited to select four of the most attractive colors from a large selection of dually colored objects.

Through your choice of colors, you begin an empowering process of reflecting a snapshot of yourself at a very deep level. The consultant helps you to explore what has been revealed through your selection of color and what actions you need to take in order to move on.

The consultation process helps you to identify your potential and correct the subtle imbalances, which underlie any disharmony.

What does color do ?
Color opens up the mind and brings up harmonizing thoughts, which are the first steps to healing. It has a profound effect on physical, mental and emotional well-being. It keeps body, mind, and spirit healthy and in harmony. It helps achieve healthier eating habits and even possibly control weight. It increases awareness and opens up intuition. Color therapy treats; emotional imbalances, insomnia, anxiety, chronic fatigue, depression, stress, confusion, low vitality, hyperventilation, eczema, psoriasis, the side effects of chemotherapy and menopausal problems.

Our attraction to or rejection of certain colors is our bodies way of alerting us to energetic blockages and imbalances within our body, mind or spirit.

The symptoms of illness and disease are a sign that there is a shortage or imbalance of color and light in the cells and organs of the human body. Pain develops to let us know that we need to make changes in our life. Unless the emotional, psychological or spiritual sources of these illnesses or diseases are addressed, healing seldom takes place and the symptoms often reoccur.

The Egyptians as one example, built many of their great temples with healing rooms tuned to a particular color frequency from the spectrum of refracted sunlight. Anyone needing healing would be placed in the appropriate colored healing room.

Color Therapy is a complementary therapy, which uses the healing energy of color and light to remove energy blockages, which are the underlying causes of pain, illness and disease.

When color enters our brain it stimulates the pituitary and the pineal glands, which then release hormonal substances which affect our body. Color works to stimulate the body’s own healing process, and restore balance to the body, mind and spirit.

It is not a coincidence that at different times in your life you are drawn to certain colors. We take color for granted as we do the sky, earth, sea, breathing, the beat of our heart. We need a balance of color for good health. We need to ingest a rainbow of colors in our foods to retain a balance of all nutrients, we need to seek a rainbow of colors in our life to balance our inner and outer life forces. All colors have their challenges as well as their benefits so remember no one color is more important than another.

Color Therapy is self-selective soul therapy, which goes to the heart of any issue. In doing so it helps you to develop greater self-awareness, recognize your inner beauty and unique gifts, and to fulfill your potential.
It empowers you to take responsibility for your own well-being.
